TEI Logo

The TEI Consortium undertook a consultation in summer 2023 to update the TEI Logo which dated from 2004. The report on the results of that consultation is available. The board fed back the results to the designer who modified the logo in line with comments received. The new TEI Logo is available in a variety of formats. Or all of them are available as a single zip file.

Members of the TEI Community may also continue using the 2004 Logo if they prefer. Various other formats are also available.

Previous Logo

The original official TEI logo was unveiled at the 2004 Members’ Meeting. It is implemented in scaleable vector form using Adobe Illustrator, and can be used either in PDF, SVG, or rasterized JPEG forms. They are also available from: https://tei-c.org/Vault/Logos/.

Versions of the logo are as follows:

Usage examples are:

• a PDF file of a printed document, using the coloured logo
• a PDF file of a printed document using the grayscale version
• simple PowerPoint slide using logo
• PowerPoint slide using logo as graphic

An alternative design, “hands”, may be used for less formal situations like T-shirts (version 1 and version 2).

There were also some badges designed using this logo.

When used on a website or other digital environment, please attribute the logo by linking from it to the TEI website where appropriate.
