Training: Opportunities
Yet if/where the TEI can make $$$, friends or credibility (more valuable than $$$) through its own training, go for it!
- TEI presentation/teaching/curriculum document type module
- Courses on XML (non-TEI), XSLT, XML document modeling, TEI (but all separate)
- For example, five-day course, three on XML/modeling, two on TEI...
- TEI could teach and license
these courses inter- and intramurally (other depts. and programs, e-publishing, conferences)
All this only happens if TEI-participant programs can scale up, take on responsibilities
- marshal resources
- cultivate a cadre of teachers / writers
- write a few courses and try to snowball
