The city of Würzburg is located in the heart of Germany and can be accessed easily via plane, high speed train and car.

All conference sessions except the opening keynote talk will take place on the Hubland Campus of Würzburg University which is the university’s centre for the Humanities and the Sciences. The campus does not provide only offices, lecture halls and labs but also the main library, two students’ and staff restaurants (“Mensa” and “Frankenstube”) and a cafeteria. The conference will take place in the new buildings of the campus.

The campus is located outside the city centre of Würzburg but has a very good connection to the public transportation (several bus lines going from and to here).

The opening keynote talk is given in the Toskana-Saal of the Würzburg Palace (Residence). The Residenz Würzburg, built by the famous architect Balthasar Neumann in the first half of the 18th century, is one of the landmarks not only of the city of Würzburg but also of the region of Lower Franconia. The Residenz Würzburg is a unique place and listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
