- Amer’s Mediterranean Deli – Main location is at 312 South State Street, but there is also a smaller full deli at 611 Church Street and an even smaller location in the Michigan Union. A wide selection of sandwiches, cold salads, and desserts.
- Glass House Cafe (in Palmer Commons on U-M Central Campus) – This restaurant in Palmer Commons has a nice view of campus and features seasonal, local ingredients.
- Ray’s Red Hots (629 E. University Ave.) specializes in Chicago-style hot dogs and is known for their waffle fries. Offers superb tempeh burgers and vegan burgers. Open till 3 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. Cash only.
- Red Hawk Bar & Grill (316 S. State St.) is the best sit-down restaurant close to the Diag.
- revive + replenish (619 E. University Ave.) is mostly a coffee shop, but they make paninis, serve pastries from Zingerman's, and offer good salads.
- Sadako Japanese Restaurant
- Silvio’s Organic Pizza has authentic Italian pizza, excellent soups and salads, and European pastries. Affordable lunch specials!
