German Literature Archive in Marbach

Due to low enrolment, this excursion has been cancelled

Visit the German Literature Archive in Marbach with its internationally praised architecture -- the Museum of Modern Literature by David Chipperfield -- and singular collections of German literature from 1800 to the present (among others: Schiller, Kafka, Celan, Jünger). The archivists in Marbach also have to cope with increasing amounts of digital material in almost antediluvian formats. The excursion includes a bus tour to Marbach and will guide you through the campus, introduce you to the exhibitions in the two museums and to the holdings of the world famous archive with an emphasis on digital material.
